  1. Import a clip

    Pick a video from your Photos library. Vertical 9:16 clips are what Captions Cut is designed around.

  2. Create captions

    Choose the spoken language or leave it on Auto detect. You see the estimated cost in credits before anything starts.

  3. Style and export

    Fix any word, pick a template and font, then export to Photos in 1080p or 4K.

Your videos stay on your iPhone.

When you ask for captions, Captions Cut uploads only the audio track, and deletes it as soon as the transcription finishes. Read the privacy policy.

Do I need an account?

No. There’s nothing to sign up for.

How much does it cost to caption a video?

1 CRD per second of audio, rounded up for each video. A 45-second clip costs 45 CRD; a 45.3-second clip costs 46 CRD. The app shows the estimated cost before you start, and if a transcription fails the credits go back to your balance automatically.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Only the audio track is uploaded for transcription, and it’s deleted as soon as the transcription finishes.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. An Android version is coming; this site will link to it when it’s ready.
