Captions Cut vs Captions
An AI video studio with dubbing, avatars and eye-contact correction, against an app that only does captions.

The short answer
Captions, the app at captions.ai, has grown from a captioning app into an AI video studio: automatic captions, but also AI dubbing into other languages, AI avatars, eye-contact correction and script writing, on a subscription, with the video processed in the cloud. Captions Cut stays with captions: word-by-word animated, editable, translated as a second line, exported in 4K, with only the audio leaving your device and a price per second of audio. If you want dubbing or avatars, Captions is the one with them. If you want captions alone, without a subscription or an upload, Captions Cut is simpler and cheaper.
